4. Inbound shipment discrepancy: You sent 100 units, Amazon received 85 and marked 15 as missing. File a case after waiting 9 business days post-close of the shipment.

5. Customer return not received: Customer claimed a return, Amazon issued a refund, but the unit never came back to your inventory. Check Return Reports for units marked "returned to customer" without an inventory credit.

6. Return received damaged: Customer returned a unit in unsellable condition. Amazon should reimburse the difference between the item's value and any disposal proceeds.

7. Destroyed without permission: Amazon disposed of units you never authorized for disposal. Cross-check your removal orders against actual disposal records.

How to Audit Your FBA Account for Reimbursements

Pull these reports from Seller Central monthly: Inventory Adjustments, Received Inventory, Removal Order Detail, Returns Report, and Reimbursements report.

Reconciliation steps: For each ASIN, compare units sent to FBA → units received → units sold → units returned → units removed or disposed → current inventory. Any gap where Amazon is at fault and you have not been reimbursed is a claimable case.

The most common missed reimbursement: inbound shipment discrepancies where Amazon counts fewer units than you shipped. Always retain your packing list, weight records, and carton photos to support the claim.
